The ideal candidate will be responsible for independently managing the full accounting function and handling intercompany accounts.

Fluency in both Afrikaans and English is essential.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Matric.
2. BCom Accounting Degree or ongoing pursuit of studies within the job titles area is acceptable.
3. Bilingual (Afrikaans & English)
4. At least 2 years of work experience (Full function Accounting)
5. Exp. in preparing monthly management accounts
6. Some payroll (statutory returns including income tax, provisional tax, VAT, EMP201, and PAYE).

Responsibilities:

1. Process monthly accounting transactions from bank statements to Pastel Accounting up to trial balance for clients.
2. Verify recorded transactions with relevant source documents.
3. Perform bank reconciliations.
4. Prepare monthly bank reconciliation for all bank accounts.
5. Conduct full-function bookkeeping to final trial balance.
6. Prepare monthly management accounts.
7. Reconcile debtors and creditors.
8. Calculate VAT.
9. Maintain intercompany accounts monthly.
10. Reconcile accounts to supplier statements.
11. Prepare accounts for audit purposes.
12. Handle intercompany accounts.
13. Submit statutory returns including income tax, provisional tax, VAT, EMP201, and PAYE.
14. Calculate and submit monthly salaries, including returns on SARS filing (EMP201 and UIF declarations).
