DUTIES:

1. Shift leader/Team leader
2. Supervision of/and in control of the Frail Care Unit and personnel day and night
3. Medication management
4. Wound care
5. Emergency calls day/night duty
6. Statistics and report writing
7. Liaison between Family, Doctor, Physiotherapist, Pharmacist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Therapist, Religious entity etc.
8. Bereavement counselling for family and friends

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Registered and paid up with the SA Nursing Council.
2. Must have good communication skills as well as good knowledge of the human character.
3. Must be self-reliant but also a team player
4. Willing to work shifts, day and night, weekends and flexi hours when required
5. Be committed to nursing excellence in our setting.
6. Passion and empathy with residents/elderly in our Retirement Village.
7. Speak and write Afrikaans and English fluently.
8. Valid driver’s license
9. Basic computer literacy
10. Police clearance with application
