Job Summary:
The Head of Sales will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to promote revenue, profitability, and growth within the organization. The role demands a blend of strong sales acumen, leadership abilities, and technical expertise in the manufacturing automation sector. The successful candidate will lead a team of sales professionals and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet the company's sales targets and enhance customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the company's customer base.
- Lead inland sales team members to achieve sales goals by providing guidance, training, and mentorship.
- Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts.
- Negotiate and close agreements with large customers and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Monitor and analyse performance metrics and suggest improvements to the sales process and integration to the rest of the business operations.
- Prepare with upper management monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts and report to the upper management on progress and deviations.
- Stay up-to-date with new product launches and ensure the sales team is on board to promote and sell these products.
- Provide detailed and accurate sales reports and customer feedback to the management team.
- Work closely with the marketing department to identify and pursue new business opportunities in existing and emerging market segments.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network and enhance the company's presence.
- Collaborate with the product development team to ensure customer feedback is incorporated into product offerings.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head of Sales, Sales Manager, or similar senior sales role.
- Extensive sales experience in the technical equipment and knowledge of the automation of manufacturing industries is essential.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to set and prioritize goals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Solid understanding of sales performance metrics and CRM software.
- Technical expertise with a deep understanding of the products and their application in the manufacturing industry.
- A bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field would be advantageous.
- Availability to travel as needed.
