• You must have the ability to work in a fast -paced environment, follow standardized work and adhere to safe operating procedures at all times.
• Operate/monitor multiple pieces of equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops.
• Setting up machines to start a production cycle
• Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. length of products)
• Feed raw material into semi-automated machines
• Visually inspect product for quality assurance, verify product labels and ensure that they correspond with products being produced
• Assembling of pre-manufactured components from stock requiring no fitting and/or adjusting, but including deburring
• Beading and/or seaming and/or grooving and/or trimming and/or curling and/or wiring and/or dishing and/or flanging and/or locking double side top and bottom.
• Bending to stops of piping and/or tubing by power-operated pipe and/or tube bending machine
• Leak-testing of finished products, other than by pressure testing
• Loading of rolled sheet coils onto decoiler and setting of decoiler release
• Operating manually operated folding machine and/or hand brake and/or hand folder and/or finger bending brake to stops and/or jigs and/or fixtures
• Operating press-brake to stops and/or jigs and/or length gauges where the stroke is not controlled
• Drilling where the location of the hole is not critical or is immaterial - in the manufacturing of tanks
• Repetition bending and/or forming by machine to jigs and/or dies and/or stops and/or length gauges
• Repetition butt and/or spot and/or flash and/or seam and/or projection and/or resistance and/or percussion welding by machine.
• Repetition cutting and/or cropping and/or shearing to stops and/or and or jigs and/or length gauges and/or fixtures and/or marks
• Repetition drilling to jigs and/or prelocated parts and/or templets and/or pops and/or fixtures and/or marks
• Repetition hot and/or cold blanking and/or piercing by press, using guides and/or jigs and/or stops.
• Repetition machine punching and/or slotting and/or notching to jigs and/or guides and/or stops.
• Repetition reaming with non-adjustable reamers.
• Repetition roller bending and/or roller forming and/or re-rolling.
• Repetition rolling and/or corrugating and/or forming of tank bodies.
• Repetition soft soldering
• Rough straightening of components and/or materials using tinman’s hammer and/or mallet and/or pliers only.
• Report any defects in the products to your line manager as soon as you become aware of them.
• Report any machine faults to your line manager in order to schedule a breakdown and ensure that the breakdown is recorded on the production paperwork.
• Ensure that machine rollers are kept clean to avoid defects on the finished products – rollers may only be cleaned when the machine is turned off
• Ensure that production papers are accurately and neatly completed.
• Ensure that your machine and work area are cleaned daily at the end of your shift.
• Ensure that your machine is turned off after finishing your work on the relevant machine
• Ensure that workstation and department are kept clean and neat at all times.

Salary: +/- R10 500.00 per month.
