Qualifications & Experience

•Minimum 3 years’ proven experience in accounting

•Proficiency in Pastel Accounting

•Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance (e.g. BCom Accounting)

•Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles

•Experience in the citrus industry within pack houses will be an advantage

•Strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex information

•Self-starting, detail-oriented, and highly structured

•Able to work well within a team and independently

Key Accountability Areas

•Accurate and timely processing of transactions on Pastel

•Weekly cashflow management and preparation of payments

•Ensure correct procedures for statutory reporting and payments

•Calculate and evaluate monthly bill of material; monitor stock control procedures

•Monthly invoicing to producers, reconciliation, and account management

•Compile and trace data throughout pack house systems

•Build reports (monthly budget vs actual) and data extracts to support business analysis

•Ensure pack house data reconciles to trial balance (producer accounts / inventory / wholesale)

•Forecast and analyze producer income

•Manage finance clerk

•Participate in annual budget preparation

•Assist with preparation of financial statements and external audit
